OIX Webinar: The OIX Guide to Proofing and Authentication
OIX Guide to Identity Proofing and Authentication
Following the recent launch of the OIX Guide to Trust Frameworks, the next instalment of the suite of Guides is to be published: The OIX Guide to Proofing and Authentication.
Proofing and authenticating a person’s identity involve complex steps and processes, but they are fundamental to creating a digital identity.
The way proofing and authentication is described in different national contexts and trust frameworks varies hugely. The OIX Guide to Proofing and Authentication draws together and defines the common elements. The guide provides an overview and more detailed explanation of the key elements of identity proofing and authentication, agnostic of technology, solution architecture or the specific approach taken by individual trust frameworks.
By doing so it sets out a universal reference guide, translating these core processes in a way that is relevant across all identity architectures, rulesets and trust frameworks.
The webinar explored the contents of the Guide, its relevance to a wide range of audiences, and looked forward to the launch of The OIX Proofing and Authentication Interoperability Guide.
