OIX has 3 General Member Representatives who sit on its' board.

An election is held every Autumn with each member company casting one vote.

The General Member Board Representatives are elected for a term of one year.

By-Election for 3rd General Member Representative

Status:  Voting is now OPEN!

Due to a vacancy for a General Member Representative on the OIX Board, we are conducting a by-election.

The call for Nominations opened on Mon 11th March 2024 & closed at 5pm on Mon 18th March 2024.
The election process for a 3rd General Member Representative on the OIX Board is therefore now in place.

Voting by OIX Members will begin at 2pm on Tues 26th March & due to the Easter Holiday period will close at 5pm on Weds 17th April 2024.

If you are a member in good standing, the primary contact for the member organisation should have received an email with voting instructions at 2pm on Tues 26th March 2024.

EACH MEMBER ORGANISATION CAN PLACE ONE VOTE.

Votes must be received no later than 17:00 UK, 17th April 2024 to be counted.
 

The successful nominee taking up the 3rd General Member Representative place on the OIX Board for 2024 will be announced here as soon as possible once the successful candidate has been informed on Fri 19th April 2024
 

Election Guidelines

• All Open Identity Exchange members in good standing are eligible to vote.
• All Open Identity Exchange General Members in good standing are eligible to nominate themselves or other members and can ‘second’ the nominations of others.
• All nominations require written 'seconds' from an Open Identity Exchange General Member(s) in good standing.
• Previous General Member Representatives are eligible to be put forward or put themselves forward, as candidates.
• All candidates will be required to respond to the Nomination Questions.
• All candidates responses to the Nomination Questions will be posted at the Open Identity Exchange website.
• A single transferable vote/instant-runoff system will be used to decide on the 3 members who will be appointed as General Member Representatives to the Board.
• Term is for one year, January 2024 to January 2025

The OIX Executive Committee suggested a few questions that candidates may want to publicly address in their candidate statements:

1. What are the key opportunities you see for the OIX in 2024?
2. How will you demonstrate your commitment to the work of OIX in terms of resources, focus and leadership?
3. What would you like to see accomplished, and how do you plan to make these things happen?
4. What resources will you and your organisation bring to help OIX attain its goals?
5. What current or past experiences, skills, or interests will inform your contributions and views?
