As of the 31^st of August 2024, the Open Identity Exchange will be wrapping up its mission as a member’s body driving the evolution and promotion of digital identity.

We are very proud of the influence we have had on the evolution of digital identity over the last 14 years and, in particular over the last few years on the evolution of digital wallets.

However, due to many members suffering budget cuts or having  to invest their funding elsewhere, we are unable to continue our mission.

There is still much to do to achieve our vision of a user held reusable digital identity that can be trusted all over the globe; and we trust other organisations with similar mission will continue to strive for this vision.

Would like to thank everyone who has contributed to OIX over the years. We have achieved a lot together and have made some very good friends along the way.
