Anthony is a partner architect at Microsoft working in the Government Engagement Team leading the Standards and Public Policy practice.
Tony’s professional career emphasis has been in the security and identity space since he started work with IBM in 1983 working as a systems programmer in the Federal Systems Division. During his 26 years with IBM he held various roles in various locations, the last of which was Chief Security Architect, IBM Software Group. He also held the title of Distinguished Engineer. He has authored 3 books, over 50 technical articles in various journals and holds over 85 issued patents. He now works at Microsoft as a Partner Architect in the Identity Division area as the technical lead for the various standards activates, with an emphasis on strong authentication and strong identity. He currently chairs various working groups, participates in working groups in various standards bodies and organisations including ISO, IETF, OASIS, W3C, FIDO and TCG.
