Ardent Technology is a digital identity solution specialist. We have been developing scalable identity solutions for over 15 years. We developed the software behind the first GOV.UK Verify Identity Provider and the many authentication and assurance methods it utilised. We have extensive experience in developing innovative solutions that adhere to the GPG45 identity assurance and GPG44 authentication standards. We have also designed and led the development of key parts of the UK Government Gateway, including the Chip & Pin 2FA, eIDV KBV process, distributed known facts, and one of the first SAML2 Identity Provider implementations. We were a key member of the Verified Claims team at Microsoft; developing solutions involving NHS smart cards, verified claims, and zero-knowledge proof (U-Prove) technology. Our latest project is OBId®, an IAM solution designed to give service providers confidence in the identity of their new and existing customers when they interact online. It allows the individual to utilise their existing banking relationship to prove their identity. When the customer subsequently engages with the service provider as an existing customer, the individual can use the OBId® credential to authenticate to the service.
