Instant financial services account opening, with some financial services firms also issuing an instant virtual card into the account for immediate use. |

What does it do? |
Onboarding - Allows users to share trusted ID information – My Info – for online signup and KYC, with both government departments and private sector |
Logon - Allows access to digital services without passwords by using the Singpass app to scan a QR code on the services website, or “tap QR” redirect to Singpass if on a phone. |
Face to Face - Forms a Digital version of the National ID Card, with bar code, that is accepted in face-to-face interactions at government counters. Users can use QR codes or HFC tags to prove who they are and share information in a face to faceenvironment. |
Electronic Signatures - Generates Legally acceptable secure electronic signatures |
Transaction Authorization - Users can authorize transactions using facial recognition. Faces are verified against centrally held images in the government database (i.e. not device based). Can be used to authorize consolidated viewing of online banking information and government agency information with third parties for eligibility assessment (often finance or another part of government) – a “personal balance sheet” |
