Thanks to all who voted to elect a general member and alternate who will represent you on the Open Identity Exchange UK Europe Board of Directors. All general members were eligible and many took the opportunity to nominate and second candidates, and vote.
I am pleased to announce the election of Rob Laurence as the general member representative on the OIX UK Board and Executive Committee.
Rob, joins a Board noted for its thought leadership in digital transformation across industries. Rob advises on strategy, best practice in identity and compliance and so is well-placed to help shape the plans, priorities and operations of the Open Identity Exchange UK. Rob’s commitment to the OIX has been proven by his involvement since the Chapter’s inception, contributing as a presenter and moderator at workshops, as well as having coordinated many OIX discovery and alpha projects.
Steve Pannifer will act as the general membership’s Alternate Representative. Steve’s experience of working with large brands means he can give the perspective of both the supply and demand side of the market. His seconder, David E. Alexander of Mydex, stated “He is capable of holding people to account and provide the right level and challenge and support to ensure OIX maintains its mission and purpose. His track record in the industry speaks for itself and his sense of humour and sharp mind will carry him well into this role.”
Both appointments are for one year and require a substantial investment of time and energy. Their effectiveness also requires your input and feedback.
I would also like to acknowledge Frank Joshi and Chris Eckl for putting themselves forward as candidates and for the support they received. Their leadership as members will continue to shape the direction of OIX UK and benefit all involved.
Please join me in thanking the all the candidates for their service to Open Identity Exchange UK.
Don Thibeau
