Projects target specific issues that have been identified by a single organisation or, most often a group of organisations, who want to explore how a particular idea or concept might solve a trust need. The level of detail a project will go into when exploring a concept might be evolutionry, follwing the iterative Discovery, Alpha, Beta phased approach.
Projects are defined as small scale, low risk assessments, analysis or tests of interoperable components that address the key challenges of creating convenient, secure, and privacy-enhancing trust transactions or solutions.
The project and white paper policy is clearly defined. Projects are collaborative and funding is provided privately by the organisations involved. Projects will test solutions with representative users and be designed to be scalable.
